She is Beautiful and She is Proud

Her Skin Is Dark And Beautiful
by deputy2, 16th February 2001.

I had promised her that I would write her a poem if someone else did not.I am a man of my
word. I hope you enjoy!

Her Skin Is Dark and Beautiful

She stands out in a crowd
She stands so straight and so proud

She can be seen in the trees
She can be seen in the flowers

She is as different as she is beautiful
She has many strong powers

She will break your heart when you see her
She doesn't do this out of spite

She does it because she is already taken
She has the right

She is a dying breed
She knows that there is still such a need

She will leave a sibling behind
She wants your mind to be able to feed

She longs for the heart to grow
She is a wonderful person to know

She is my friend you see
She knows that I wrote this, a promise from me

She was told that I would
She finally has it now, it makes me feel so good

She is blessed in so many ways
She causes the sun to shine brighter, even through the haze

She is loved more than she knows
She will overcome anything, even her foes

This poem was written tonight as a promise that I had made to a friend of
mine. She is known to most of you, as Claywoman.
