Be An Angel
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 06-30-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I went for a walk in a field I did not know of where
One moment I was alone deep within my empty thoughts
Sun was shining brilliantly absorbing all the moisture on the grass

A voice called from behind myself one I thought I recognized
Suddenly my clothing changed into a white gown adorned with wings

He slipped in beside me he was dressed in all black he was very dark and mysterious
I've come by now uou know why to convince you to be an angel

I listened tentatively to his arguments and considerations of thought
I turned after a moment of silence smiled at him and said to the dark
dressed figure my muse.

I will only consider being an angel if you create for me away to become an angel
He enlaced his arm in mine and we strolled into the field I shaded
us while we walked with my graceful wings.

You have wrapped us in the mystical in this poem. A very wonderful feeling.

Sounds like a wonderful muse to have. Lovely imagery, Peggy!
