Zephyr Whispers
by Peggy Bertrand
copyright 07-01-2002

Age Rating: 7 to 127

High above us in the
twilight of dawn
Heaven is their chess board
and I their pawn

With fleece so white
and zephyr whispered flight
Casting care and delivering
me as nephrite

Sweeping broad and feathered
tips of wings
Keeping us within reach
and care as if always their
fondling's

Guardian angels of might
and faithfulness
As I wonder upon their
existence they leave
me breathless

Span the universe
with grand zephyr flight
Guiding what is their plight
with all of their might

I visualized a powerful angel (Michael or Gabriel, maybe) in flight! Very inspiring.

Always lifting us hiring. Seeing beyond the sky is something your eyes bring to so many wonderful poems. Thank you.
