Alexa's story

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Alexa wrote a story.
About a little duck.
He found a home in the awesome mouth of an alligator.
The duck was not quite happy, in the home that he found.
There was nothing to eat.
Not a snack, not a bite,
An apple would be nice,
Boy, that little duck, he had an appetite...

"Hey, alligator, don't you have food,
Is there really nothing to eat?"
"No, my friend, you'll have to work for it,
So get up, on your feet."

The duck jumped on an automobile,
And our friend, he got a ride
To the studio's where films are made.
"An actor is a good job", kind' a neat
And anyway it will provide me something to eat...

The little duck became a star
Yeah, awful is, in any way,
That he missed his friend that day.

He quit his job, and asked around,
Maybe his alligator friend was found.
After a search of eighteen days,
While travelling in many ways,
he got the word, that his dear old friend
Had moved into another land.

Down in Australia, in some zoo,
That was the alligators dream to do
The duck, so glad, he took a plane
Came out in Sydney, in a lane
A friendly Aussie helped him out
The duck found the alligator, sad and alone,
when he saw the little duck, he screamed on high tone!
"Is that you, duck , really you, my friend?"

The two stayed together, happy and free
On their own little piece of zoo
Under an avocado tree,
I know, because in my album,
Is a postcard, that they sent to me.
