Digging into my lithe soul
Why do you hurt so?


So much hurt in you
You're too beautiful for pain
How can I help you?

I feel your fingers
Touch my very lips again
"Hush child, I am fine."

I love the last one. Alone, it stands as an excellent Hiaku. While the last line could be easily made into five syllables, I don't agree with the others who say that Haiku is rigid.

The so called Haiku masters often broke the 5-7-5 structure of the Hiaku.
