You cannot be an ear of corn,
Because you do not have a cob.
You cannot be a pea,
Because you don't have a pod.
I know you're not lettuce,
Even though you have a head.
Maybe you are spinach,
Or a brussel sprout instead?
Could you be an okra,
A zucchini or a bean?
If you're a tomato,
You're the cutest one I've seen.
Are you a potato,
With gorgeous, big brown eyes?
How about trying on
An acorn squash for size?
You're not a carrot or an onion,
'Cause you don't grown in the ground.
If you're a cucumber,
You're the sweetest one around.
Doctors say that you're a vegetable,
They do not see your charms.
Vegetables belong in gardens,
Not cradled in my arms.
So, let others think what they want,
You and I know what's true.
I'm not crazy about vegetables,
But I'm crazy about you!
