Conquering Lies
by Debra Rose (Age: 21)
copyright 07-18-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Okay...previously titled "Nameless Evil" the last line had to do with some bs about how love conquers all...but...I figured that was too cliche-ish. And Sailor Moon-ish. So here's my new cliched version. I hope it's a vague improvement.

I know you’re the one true cause,
But I don’t know who you are…
My angels despise you,
My soul abhors you,
My demons fear you…
You are beyond skin deep.

I feel your malevolence in my mind.
It jolts my thoughts,
For you are displeasing to my convinctions,
Distracting to the world,
Disjointing to my life,
Disturbing to me…
My soul quivers at your very touch—
The spiritual fingers,
Perpetual bliss.
An orgasm of fear
From an orgy of hate,
Spewing from your eyes.

Yet still…
I shall lift my chin to your glare,
Turn my back to your lies.
For with bravery, I will stand,
With dedication, I will not fall.
And with truth…
I will conquer.
