I'm waiting for you (written as a song)
by Elizabeth Schalchlin (Age: 24)
copyright 07-29-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Why don't you call?
Why don't you speak just a word?
Why don't you answer my desperate screams of pain that are echoing through the hall.

Why must I wait?
Why must I sit here in pain?
Why must I live with the memory of your sweet smile and wonder if we are fate?

I'm waiting for you,
I'm wishing for you,
I'm wailing for you through the night.

I'm howling for you,
I'm hurting for you,
I'm hoping that you'll be alright,

I'm waiting for you.

Sometimes I just sit and wonder if you are somewhere wondering, too,
Sometimes I just lie down and dream of the dreams we will dream together, me and you.
Sometimes I can't help but imagine the things the that our future just might hold,
Will it be you? Will it be me? Could it be us growing old?

I'm waiting for you,
I'm wishing for you,
I'm wailing for you through the night.

I'm howling for you,
I'm hurting for you,
I'm hoping that you'll be alright,

I'm dreaming of you,
I'm screaming to you,
I'm scheming a future that's bright.

I'm dying for you,
I'm sighing for you,
I'm crying til you hold me tight.

Sometimes I just sit and stare blankly at the wall,
Sometimes I can't even count the many tears that fall,
Somewhere deep inside my heart the pain begins to surge,
Somewhere deep inside my soul it's you I can not purge.

And then the pain becomes to much, the lonliness captures my heart,
as I lie, wounded and scared, I wonder, how did this start?

I'm waiting for you.
