DEDICATION:
To a friend who recently, on medical advice, gave up "The Sweet Life" for a healthier lifestyle...
He had travelled the rainbow far enough, the fire
was scorching his soul.
Time to slide off the rainbow, to breathe new air;
time to pay the toll.
A paltry pot of gold was not the answer, that
he knew; it was his curse.
Time for blood to vary heart's flagging beat,
to run a different course.
Time for the dazzling band which blinds to go
from strangely streaming eyes;
time for a journey deep within, although
the fare be a thousand sighs.
