The Veil of Indifference
by Robert JudeAce
copyright 06-16-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

In uncharted waters
Currents full of emotion
Sands full of propulsion...

I look back to the shoreline
Where secret dreams lurk midstream...

A link toward resurrection...
A hungry fork in the road...
A vagabond’s dream of home...

Here, alien sounds and unusual artifacts
Tumble before my feet,
Momentarily tripping me,
Saddling me with bizarre proposals
On polarized hallowed ground...

Here, clowns and trapeze artists
Subtly laugh at my world’s folly
Indifferent to my moods of motion
Like a mad carnival of moving ideas,
Tricking me into a divine stalemate...

I can only watch with inflamed eyes
As you dance upon the dunes of verisimilitude,
Secretly discarding truisms of astral existence,
Displaying weird grunts of heated hope...

Soon, I hope to end these futile teardrops
Flowing from your face
Onto our bodies of masked embracement...

I look forward to the end of the world
As I scream unceremoniously into your face
To lift the indifferent veil you’ve enjoyed surfacing....

I am discovering your earlier pieces and find I enjoy them just as much as I do your new ones. You do have a gift Robert.

" As you dance upon the dunes of verisimilitude," a "true" genius...;-)
