Scallops And Macaroni

3 tbls. butter or margerine
1 medium onion, chopped
3 tbls. dried chopped garlic
1/2 lb. fresh or frozen scallops
8 oz. sour cream
1- 10 3/4 oz can condensed cream of mushroom or potato soup
2 1/2 cups whole milk
1lb. cooked macaroni
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated sharp cheese

Melt butter in heavy duty large frying pan and sautee' onion and garlic over medium heat until tender and slightly brown, then add scallops and saute' over low heat for 7 or 8 minutes, then add sour cream, milk, and condensed soup..whisk until well blended and hot, then pour over hot cooked macaroni and stir together, then serve with grated cheese.
