A place to fly

  A place to fly

Time drips in drops of searing seconds
from the parched and agonizing thirst
that today the river of creativity
will cascaded in torrents of calenture’s fiery likeness.
I shut vision’s curtain,
and glide through the eyelid archway
to that fertile terrace of kaleidoscope life
abundant in image crops,
which blossom as reverberating, magnifying glasses.
With each tense, throbbing streak of awareness
there explodes a brainstorming laughter
across the spreading consciousness sky
of my mental chamber’s gossamer canopy of intuitions.
But the hours spent dwelling
in mortality’s drab and dingy huts of subsistence
turns the extract of erudite flames
into a tempest quagmire of muddied chaos
imploding my breath
as empty caches of longing
seeking a place to fly.

Flying high, then crashing to the ground....life gets in the way of genius. It's a wonder you can soar again after all the crashes and dents in your armour, but we all hope you will keep flying high!

I'd say your inner eye sees plenty....giving your thoughts wings to spread their creativity through the spirals of life! This is an awesome piece!
