Longings

Sitting here in stillness
Darkness turns to light
Shes up again and crying
A rather common sight
I’ll just sit and dream
Of days yet to come
When my whole existence
In this house is done
Sweet dreams of release
To a place that I can stand
Where my constant torture
Is not so close at hand
So I’ll just sit here dreaming
Cause dreamings all I have
It calms the horrid stares
And soothes me like a salve
So when you see someone
Who looks troubled as can be
Please don’t stop to help her
That girl you see is me

I can see why this won, Heather.
I'm thinking your definition of "crappy" is WAY different than mine? :-) nice work, and glad to have you here!

First Heather, Congratulations on your win ! Next, you need to modify your bio and that out the part about your poetry being 'crappy' 'Crappy' poetry never wins at Pnp :)
