Without You
by Jessica Conley (Age: 18)
copyright 08-13-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Every night I cry out in pain,
Wishing someone could stop the rain.
It breaks my heart, when I think of the time,
I sat back and watched you stand there and die.

I wish there was something that I could do,
To hear your voice and to be able to touch you.
As the tears trickle down my cheek,
I reach the pale dawn of a day that's bleak.

I wish it was me instead of you,
Because I don't want to live, if living is without you.
Without you, life is bleak,
Without you, I am weak.

I don't think I can go another day,
Without seeing your face that's like the sun's ray.
Without you, my day does'nt exist,
The night seems so cold and brisk.

I wish you would tell me, everyting's all right,
For without you, that day is night.
I sit there on the lonely bed,
I tilt my hands and hold my head.

I made a mistake, there's somethings I needed to say,
I wanted to tell you before the angels took you away.
I love you, I always did,
And now your gone, the pain I hid.

It's all my fault, I feel so bad,
My life now, it's so sad.
What I wanted to say, it was'nt a lie,
I did'nt tell you, and now I want to die.

You are a part of me, the part the I love,
It is so precious, it's like a dove.
Without you, I don't exist,
Your memories shatter into a mist.

For that, there's one thing I wish,
And without you, I don't exist.

Great. I can relate. I've been there. It just seems like we can never show our love enough. Then when the time comes, we wonder what else we could have done. In reality, we know we did all we could but sometimes it doesn't seem like enough. Well, great write with well conveied emotions. Nicely done.

Well Jessica suburb that one I can relate to also, the death of a loved one. I hope it didn't happen to you. If so it will pass. Great writting again. Keep it up. I enjoy reading your work. DIXIE LEE

Jessica,

I did go back and read your poem. I can relate to this. Yes, and it made me cry. You convey your emotions very well and one can feel your pain.

Another good poem. I Appreciate your careful choice of words, choosing for meaning and for implication.
