The Last Answer
The Ghosts have not gone away.
They linger waiting to have their say.
Even though the house is still.
I hear them speaking grim and shrill.
They linger waiting to have their say,
They speak of ruin and decay,
Determined waiting is their skill,
Is it a matter of mind over will?
They speak of ruin and decay,
Though the broken silent gray,
I have closed the door let them shout,
Banished they mummer, shriek and pout.
Through the broken silent gray,
Harmony shall send them all away,
This is my house whose door they pound,
Light from my window splashes ground.
Harmony and light has sent them away ,
They are in disgrace not having their say,
I have other weapons to deploy ,
Banished now they can not annoy.
They are in disgrace not having their say,
memory- ghosts will not go away.
they linger waiting to have their day ~
though the broken silent gray.
