Woman!
Feline!
Enchantress of man
Hands encrusted with jewel claws;
Cloaked in the glory of nakedness,
Woman -- you are
Centerfold ego;
Child of serenity.
Blest with the patience of eons
You stand
Poised on the precipice of fecundity
Arms outstretched toward infinity
And beyond!
You've touched the stars
While holding a babbling infant
To your breast ... yet
Entombed on the pedestal
Of man's fantasy
Cursed by his fate.
Mother to generations yet unborn;
Timeless axiom of mystery
Dependent on nature's lure.
For woman you are
And woman you'll be
Eternally!

This is a good poem, in my opinion, and shows how painfully small my vocabulary has become...I guess thats what happens when your only method of conversation is a 3 year old, huh? I have to go dig out my dictionary to find out what "fecundity" means...LOL
Otherwise, This poem produces a thought provoking image, and is very well written!
