A Father's Love

Age Rating: 10 to 127

A father's love,
for another's baby
taken for his own.
He nutured her
and kept her safe from harm.
He would have fought for her. .
His love she was never denied.
Although he'd always tried to protect her,
he was not able to protect himself,
and she slowly died inside.
The love was an undying love,
that grew through the years.
But when he breathed his last,
he was unable to see her tears.
