What I would do for love...

Age Rating: 18 to 127

With a question like "What I would do for love" my analytical mind takes over and I have to look at the many different kinds of love...

The love of a friend:

There is precious little I would not do for my friends. I have done many things already. I have gone on a blind date and had the most hideous time of my life. I was in high school then and not fully mature so looks mattered. This guy was just awful though even with his looks aside.

I would not let myself be walked on or taken advantage of. I would be there though in any way needed if it was at all possible for me to do so. So for a friend's love I would do almost anything.

The love of a pet:

I would give them whatever it was that they wanted. I would try to see to it that they never wanted for anything be it food, medical care, or attention. Even my goldfish are pampered although I have my doubts that they love me. Of course how would I know? They don't wag their tails or purr...

The love of a man:

Hmm. This is perhaps the toughest one. I would have to know that the man really loved me and I was not just a toy or a diversion while waiting for the next one to come along. I have been both at times but I didn't know it until it was too late.

If I a man truly loved me and I was really able to feel it then there is precious little I would not do for him if he asked. Even if he didn't ask. I would let him sleep late on the weekends and surprise him with breakfast in bed for starters.

If treated right by him there is nothing he would be denied. I also can give a pretty nice massage if so desired. Being a Gemini I am adventurous and always up for a new adventure. I would plan many things to do for him and never hesitate to show my love.

The love of my mother:

For the love of my mother I would try to be what she had always hoped I would be. When it comes right down to it, despite her denial, she only really wanted for me to be happy. Well mom, I am most days. I call my mother constantly because I love her.

She sacrificed much for her children and it seemed the most for me. I can never even come close to repaying her for that but that doesn't mean I can't try.

Now comes the biggest love of all...

For the love of my child:

I would literally walk to the ends of the earth and back again and swim the seven seas just to see that smile and hear his laughter. He is, and will always be, my everything from here on out. Everywhere I go and everything I do will be thought out as to how it will affect him.

I would want him to have no doubts that I love him ever. He is my gift from God. I have called him my 'angel baby' since before he was even born. He is my miracle and there is no love on this earth that can ever match the love I have for my son. There is no force stronger than what I would do to keep that love and keep him secure in the knowledge that I love him.

So as there are many kinds of love, so too are there many different things I would do for it. Love is a wonderful thing and when a being loves you there really is no feeling like it on this earth.

I truly feel sorry for those who cannot love. I was told once the key to loving someone is to first love yourself. That was hard for me to do after my father stormed through my life like a wrecking ball. I eventually did get there though. *smile*
