Morning sun,
Equinox sun,
Floods through the window.
I hold up my hand.
Luminous light penetrates the skin.
My fingers observed with awe.
I see blood,
Red and running
Beneath my skin.
Bones outlined in a halo of crimson.
My life force pulsating,
While I carefully examine,
An x-ray performed without a machine.
Outstretched fingers transformed
Into delicate, fragile, living, flesh.
No deception allowed in this reality.
