Listening for words of guidance.
by Lonnie Kornoely
copyright 12-20-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I whisper to you Lord I speak very softly. I
listen to the silence I listen for your words of
guidance. I talk to you Lord in a normal voice
after I’m done I sit in silence I listen for your
words of guidance. I shout to you Lord as
loud as I can be. I’m done I sit and hear
silence I listen for your words of guidance. I
sing to you Lord I shout and praise your
name.

I go to church and I talk to people. How I’m
trying to change. How I want to change my
life and be a better man than I am today. I sit
and pray and listen in the silence for your
words of guidance. I started to wonder if it
was me, was it my age, my looks, or maybe I
was bad. I didn’t know tell one day. One
man said to me your learning a lesson you
can’t change a thing that’s the Lords present
you ask him to fix the things you want to
change I have been going about it all the
wrong way.

I started to look at my life and my sins I
know I was bad but I also know Jesus did
forgive. I started praying for many changes
but nothing to outrageous. I would sit in the
silence and listen for the words of guidance.
All of the sudden things would guide me to
answers I had asked of questions within.

When I wrote this it was in the silence. The
thing I can say to you is this. In the silence
the guiding words are there but our own
mind our own flesh can sometimes blind side
us. It’s not weather or not we match up.
We except him in our life and learn to trust
in God.
