That's Life (In the Morning)
by Amber McCabe
copyright 08-28-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Wake up.
Fall out of bed.
Shower, dress.
Quick breakfast? No time.
In the car.
On the road.

Stop.
Wait.

Honk.
Wait.

Roll.
Wait.

Sit.

Listen to the radio.
Sing some bars.
Upbeat music.
Downbeat mood.

Stop.
Wait.

Honk.
Wait.

Roll.
Wait.

Sit.

Finally!
Moving forward.
Feeling good.
Still on time.

Red light.

*sigh*

Hi, I really enjoyed reading this piece. I feel that way often. In the morning, when I'm trying to get to school, and I feel that way as well, when I'm tried and stressed, and ready to get home. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I use to do this everyday. That is why I'm looking for a 'no-commute' job; preferrably one where I can stay at home and write poetry and stories all day and get PAID! Anyone knows of any position like that!!???

I likedthis poem very much., I would like to hear you read it aloud.
