Fire Shores
by Debra Rose (Age: 21)
copyright 08-29-2002

Age Rating: 16 to 127

I want to see you converted
Your slave become your master
Your soul become your toy
And your heart become your brain.

I want you to lose control
To pull onto the shore of death
Dance with the skeletons
And eat the flesh of the living.

But you keep in your tie
Which you use like your noose
Tying it around your neck
To strangle you each day

You lick your fingers and slick your hair
Ignore the screaming of angels
As they call for your help
Burning on your shores....

You don't believe...

And you grow older, and I dance with wraiths
Living forever while you gray
Youthful I am and decaying you are
Locked up in your box in the earth.

And in the afterlife you scream like the angels
Who you never believed in
And burn in the fire rivers
Because you wouldn't dance on the shores

And you call for the heavens
Who you turned your back on before
And they reach down to grab you
But you lost your chance.

Reach old man. And feel the pain you caused to them.

Nice write. Very powerful. I would say he made the wrong choices in life. I especially like the second and third verses. Seems that was his chance at decision making. The final two verses seal his fate. Condemnation time.

WOW----a little scary----but well done----if you know this guy you must not like him. But its a really nice poem.
