Adopting me...but why?
Doing things to make me happy,
Only my past still remains,
People dear to me leaving me...out there in the world,
Thinking back to then still makes me cry,
I want to know why i was alone,
Only you hold the answers,
Never come back...i donīt want to know anymore.

good job. I have a friend who was adopted. I really dont think it would be a good idea to tell you why because I want to respect her privacy. But now she lives a life where she dosnt kno day to day if she is going to be in the same house or not. Good write!
very good poem, Emily. it's good to express feelings in poetry. It gives you an outlet for your emotions and helps people understand more (sometimes any way). keep writing.

Emily I have a son who is adopted and at your age he too had many questions. Just remember that no matter what your past is you are in charge of your future, It is really true that you can be whatever you set your mind to be. Don't kive too much in the past just go for the best future you can.
