Happy songs,they played so long
you never thought it'd turn out this way
that I'd see it a different way.
that I'd do something so vile
when I seemed to be so happy all the while.
Just to fake a simple smile,it helped,sorta.
Had I taken my life,I would have taken more.
My family,my friends,my work and second home.
Life isn't just 'you' its not all 'yours'
taking a life out of suicide kills another
slowly and painfully.
I know my beloved families would go on.
I know they're strong.
But the death of that life I almost took
would have killed them too.
They mean much to me and I them.
I think about that life I almost took
wouldn't just have been my own.
