What is Christmas?

Snowflakes falling on Christmas eve night
We drink wine and talk in the candle light.

Why do we get gifts at this time of year?
go out party and have plenty of cheer.

If you think of how it all began the very first Christmas day
With Mary and Joseph and a baby boy in a manger they had to stay

There were shepherds watching some flocks at night
three wise men following a star so bright.

With gold frankincense and even some mere
They followed the star that led the way
But how did they know
Jesus was asleep in the hay.

Hark the Herald angle sings
Something about a new born king.

We have been to church for midnight mass
as we toast the lord we raise a glass.

Not to forget the Christmas cards we’ve got to send.
To our family’s and our friends

This is the time for songs and joy
all because of one little boy.

Is this the reason I wonder it maybe.
Why we have presents under the Christmas tree.
