Rough draft. The last part was written in a moment that I was really upset. Hope it still is good. Dedicated to Kiima.
I don't know what happened this morning.
I woke up
Went into the bathroom
Looked into the mirror,
Just like I do everyday.
But this morning it wasn't me who was looking back.
My hair fell a bit messier
My eyes looked a bit blearier
My fingers felt number and my body felt heavier.
Confusion was on my face
Sleep in my eyes
Stomach feeling nauseous
And head spinning sickly
But something was oddly beautiful
In the depths of ice blue.
And then it hit me.
It was emotion that sparkled
Once in diamond depths
Coming through to see the day again
Something that left me a bit breathless
And explained the scraggled look.
For gone was the mask of the ice queen
Cool eyes
Pulled back hair
Straight face
Cold demeanor
And in her place lay a lake
Melted by the fire--
The passion in her eyes.
The perfection of scupltured ice had melted
Into the beautiful imperfection of a lake.
