  My Monster Kitty

Red as a fox with a bushy tail,
Long, slinky and skinny as a rail!

I look at him lying there, he looks so sweet,
as he licks himself clean to be nice and neat.

But DON'T let him fool you with his lovey eyes!
It's just a plan, a trick, it's all a disguise!

He's just kickin and fightin and scratchin and bitin,
runnin and hidin and swingin and slidin!

Up and down furniture, chasing the flies.
"OH", here comes a hairball, another surprise!

Now he sleeps quietly, soundly at my feet.
I stare at him in awe and I'm glued to my seat!

"That's not natural", I tell myself.
Opps, he woke up, oh gosh, thats my shelf!

"NO BOY NO"! Don't do that!
Down fall the flowers on the floor with a splat!

Day in and day out it's always the same.
For he's just a kitten and life's a big game.

That's why I named him Vinny "G".
Cause he's my boy, and he's Gangsterly!

This was hilarious! Your use of language and syntax really conveyed the chaos of this cat very well. I felt like I was the cat, sort of rolling around on the floor! Good job.

I like your poem. That picture gives it even more meaning. The cat looks like he is getting ready for making trouble. Maybe he has already made the mess and is daring you to say something.

This is almost what my "Vinny"(Vincent)looks like! He's just as red as this one....but with more hair! And...him's has more hairs in him's ears than an Italian Butcher. That's my "gangster kitty". And Him's lovin some Tuney". It's on the black market!!!!!!!

Jeniffer,
LOL!! Wow! I had a cat once when I lived in MN for a few months. A little kitten...at first, she was so sweet...so scared and all. She'd curl up with me all the time, especially because we had three dogs, and one I swear was as big as me and weighed almost twice as much. But then she realized the dogs were okay with her (they were used to cats) and she got cocky, and went from laying on my chest when I sleep, to biting my hair every time I shifted. And then those poor dogs...the rottweiller became her bigest victim. She'd creep around on the shelves, and jump on his head and like...latch, and I swear she'd try to claw his ear off before she'd run away! LOL!!!

Gah, this poem brought back such happy memories! Very cute! And definitly oh-so-true!

The sign on my door reads:
"Jasmin Marie,
Vinny Gee,
and Me"...

LOL! awwwww such a cute kitty! I can't remember when my two cats were kittens, cause they're were born when i was 4 or 5... they're 10 or 11 right now!! But my puppies do the same... minus the hairballs and wizzing around on furniture. Believe me, it's funny at first, but when you step in a little present they left you, it isn't
-_-;

Nehoo, great poem! It does describe all cats in general in most ways, but some, make your kitty special ^_^

I love cats and I understand how cats can slink around and not get caught in somethings! I have three cats and two of them fight all the time! I really like this poem!

Lots of fun... The meter is consistent for the most part and I can tell you had a good time writing it. I look forward to more.

A fun tale of one with a tail. It IS amazing how much damage can be done by the one who lounges in the sun.
