Don't Say Good-Bye

Nightfall sings her silent song,
That's all I really hear.
But caught in the shadows of night,
Is the one thing that I fear.
I don't want to say good-bye,
Even if parting is just for a while.
I don't want to cry,
So I won't show my smile.
Don't turn around, don't walk away,
Don't say what I don't want to hear.
I know you won't listen to me,
I can't help but shed a tear.
I don't want to say good-bye,
Not now, not here, not ever.
Even if good-bye is just for a while,
I know it will seem like forever.
Don't say good-bye,
Not now, not ever.
I won't cry,
Forever, and ever.
