Two Tender Orbs
by Elizabeth Schalchlin (Age: 24)
copyright 09-25-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

More delightful then diamonds,
destiny lies ahead,
taunting, tempting, teasing, terrorizing, tantalizing,
see how swiftly each moment slips by,
slinking into the shady regions of yesterday.

Shivering I stumble steadily on,
blinded by the bitter blackness that binds my broken heart,
yet suddenly I see some small sign of my salvation.
Two tender orbs shining steadily ahead,
they call to me with their brilliant fire,
lighting my lonely life.
Do they see me?
Do they know the pure power they possess?
