Ah the wisdom and truth of passing time.
Denial resolved by grapes, withering on the vine.
Austerity and riches, a destiny to find.
Be resolved in the end, alas, in the mind.
Finally deep joy and content.
Sketched into my eternal gaze.
Victory is in mine passing.
Life's long, endless race.
In the golden years I reminisce with dry eyes.
Looking back at the long, winding road.
To finally pause for a moment.
And finally rest my heavy load.
As twilight colors the easternly sky.
After the storm has now almost passed.
To leave countless memories.
And love that will forever last.
