An Artist's Denial
by Beverly Murrelle
copyright 10-06-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Great artists do not dwell
On imperfections
Nor measure worth
By number of rejections

Sensitivity evolves
Completely detailed
Belief increases and heightens
Prior to all curtailed

Sweat and labor survives
Until completion
Of the masterpiece
Illustrating conviction

The artist works 'til night
Or morning if he must
A reward is measured highly
with credible trust

Poets write for themselves, to the reader. The poem means nothing if no one reads them. For years mine sat on a shelve and collected dust! Thanks, Anthony

That's an artist alright. Couldn't have said it better myself. You write artistically! Good work.
