This is such an exciting time ... Uni holidays and an opportunity to post some poetry (I've been hanging out for this for months upon months). But I promise I will leave it here for a while!

She's like a sea-shell --
I have to hold her closer
Than most
To learn what lies within,
And with trusting time
She's revealed to me
Many a secret as whispered
Sweetly and gracefully --
Lulling my desires with the most haunting pan pipes
Of the mysterious sea,
Bringing tales from afar
Beyond the wash-up of my sheltered shore,
With me now to always treasure
Forever and more.
And to think
Whilst strolling nonchalantly
I almost mistook her for
Yet another grain of sand;
I almost overlooked her
To let her slip through
My suppler hands
In exchange for something
More colourful and pretty,
And less tainted with unforgiving time
But it matters not now
Because she is the chime of reason
The endless vessel of quiet wisdom
The mother of pearl of my world
And above all, my infallible love.
