Don't Wanna Die To Become Famous
by Barry Clopton Lanier (Age: 52)
copyright 10-17-2002

Age Rating: 16 to 127

I really don't want to die
Just to become famous
Wait until the last prayers
Are said over me
Just to let the world know
I've got something to say
Don't yearn the accomplishment
Of serving as a vase for lilacs and spring lillies
Really don't want to go out that way
Would prefer that my available intellect
Be critiqued ad hoc, but not in retrospect
And my fame finally be determined
While my form stands all erect
But so are the times
As is with the judgement
Accolades and finally the laughter
When I'm gone it'll finally be known
Only in, the great hereafter

When I think about it this is a feeling I have also.
Hopefully my children will benefit.
You are genuinely talented, indeed!

Live life to the fullest, while you got it. And always remember Life is the most precious thing we got but you can't make a trade-in.
