Sad Little Shop of Horrors
by Esther Spurrill (Age: 29)
copyright 12-18-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

They laugh
I cry
Because she died
Why?

"A silly death
Not real, a comedy"
But it really
Bothers me

A monster plant
Ravenous
Ridiculous...
Hilarious?

*I wrote this poem after watching the play "Little Shop of Horrors." The play is billed as a comedy, but is full of death; the main character owns a genetically altered plant that eats his enemies, then his friends, concluding by munching on his girlfriend. Everyone laughed when the plant ate the girl - everyone but me.*

I must agree esther I never found it humorous either. I watched it and I thought I will never own the great fly catcher plant.
