The Evil You
by Heather Lynn McDanel (Age: 21)
copyright 05-15-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

What does it do to your mental state
To be called evil when you're eight?
To have this outburst have been caused
By fast counting of some cards
Your idol says she reads your mind
And evil is not hard to find
You yell at her and scream at her and tell her she is wrong
And wonder why your mother has stayed with her so long
But a little while later while sitting in your room
You realize that she's probably right she does see all you do
And at that moment you decide
To keep emotions locked inside
It's not that easy of a task
To hide your thoughts behind a mask
But you know that if you do
Noone will ever know that you
So far so good noone knows
That side of you you never show
You were untrusting from the start
So that was the easy part
You lie to all so they won't find
the evil thats inside your mind
But be careful what you do
Less that evil consume you
So onward bound you charge today
Though obstacles will block your way
Just be sure to always hide
The evil thats inside your mind
