To Notice A Mother Bluebird
by Barry Clopton Lanier (Age: 53)
copyright 01-16-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

The nest, nestled in the apex of a Japanese maple tree, looked well enough to be an adequate example of superb architecture. One day she fluttered in, and began to dismantle the home piece by piece with care. She carried each and every part away with her as she left. She returned trip after trip, and piece after piece of bark, and straw, and leaves, and limb went with her.
The next morning she was gone. And again, the next day she did not return. Was there a lesson to be learned from this mother bluebird, or a point of wisdom to be announced. You know its more and more difficult to ascertain wisdom from the homeo sapiens, maybe this species has something to offer.
Was she dismantling her home because it was faulty, or to weak for her upcoming family? Maybe it was in fact faulty, and dangerously unsteady, and she was a good planner, and simply in a transition of life.
Or maybe she is just a mother bluebird doing what mother bluebirds do.

A very nice story written well and with an understandable story line. Yes, this could well be considered for a thought for the day.
