He Wasn't for Me
by Esther Spurrill (Age: 29)
copyright 11-27-2002

Age Rating: 10 to 127

He wasn't at all my ideal guy
Not everything that he should be
But I allowed romance to blind my eyes

Things for me he always would buy
As if he could buy my heart's key
He wasn't at all my ideal guy

On my shoulder, he would cry
He'd say "I'd die if you left me"
So I allowed romance to blind my eyes

To keep me near him, he would try
To control my life, make me be she
He wasn't at all my ideal guy

When we talked, he often would sigh
He didn't want to understand me
But I allowed romance to blind my eyes

He would have made the real me die
I had to leave him to be free
He wasn't at all my ideal guy
But I allowed romance to blind my eyes
