Never
by Catherine Wilson (Age: 32)
copyright 12-16-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Never before have we met, but I’ve known you.
Your image, like a vision, resurfacing in my mind.
Never before have we spoke, but I’ve heard you.
Your voice, like a song, I’ve heard once before.

Never before have we touched, but I’ve felt you.
Your arms, like an angel’s, holding me while I weep.
Never before have we loved or have we?
Never before this brief moment would I have noticed.

Maybe I’m a person you pass in the street.
Never before our eyes met did we see the same thing.
Never before now did we wonder.
Could we share a desire to be complete once again?

Is it fear that keeps me from searching my mind
or is it the fear of knowing things I can’t change?
Never again will I close my eyes to a hazy reality.
Never again will I let demons feed on the soul I have left.

You did dearly on this peice. I may not know much about love, but even so, your words touch me in a way even my own life couldnt. I would love to read some more of your work, good job.

Your amazing in this poem. It's so heartfelt
and deep. It made me cry. You so know how to
get into those feelings that very few people
dare to tread. Remember your not alone in those
feels you write about. Keep writing, it's the
voice of emotion.=:)
