Never before have we met, but I’ve known you.
Your image, like a vision, resurfacing in my mind.
Never before have we spoke, but I’ve heard you.
Your voice, like a song, I’ve heard once before.
Never before have we touched, but I’ve felt you.
Your arms, like an angel’s, holding me while I weep.
Never before have we loved or have we?
Never before this brief moment would I have noticed.
Maybe I’m a person you pass in the street.
Never before our eyes met did we see the same thing.
Never before now did we wonder.
Could we share a desire to be complete once again?
Is it fear that keeps me from searching my mind
or is it the fear of knowing things I can’t change?
Never again will I close my eyes to a hazy reality.
Never again will I let demons feed on the soul I have left.
