Note: I have fixed my email program so you may email me anytime you wish. I am now using a phone line and my connect speed is MUCH improved! I should be able to effect changes better.
For those not familiar with the term, in the cruising sailor's community, "swallowing the anchor" actually means selling your boat and moving to shore. Frankly, I'd part with my firstborn much sooner that I'd sell "Sailboat" However, power at anchor is a real problem and with my new job, the mosquito attacks at dawn when I go to my new job are beyond anything you could ever imagine (I use a headnet to keep from literally being eaten alive.)
I have now the opportunity to move to a dock for a reasonable amount of money per month and that will enable many things. Refrigeration, air conditioning, water, a REAL phone line with reasonable speeds and a shorter distance to travel though mosquito infested areas before getting to work. Working on "Sailboat" to actually get her in a condition to sail will become a reality.
