Breakable
by Candice Liao (Age: 22)
copyright 12-21-2002

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I want to break
The girl with the high nose
Not just the nose
But also her
To muffle her evil cackles
And purify her cruel intentions

I want to break
The guy with the broad shoulders
Not just the shoulders
But also him
To weaken his defense
And expose his vulnerability

Maybe they'll be surprised of the
Vanity they possess
The porcelain mask they wear
And that they're also breakable
Just like the rest of us.

Those that yell the loudest, cry the most inside! Thanks, Anthony

This is pretty cool, I know that there is someone at school I want to break.

Beautifully written.

I think all of us have wanted to do this. It's frightening though, when you get through the masks, talk to them enough, you realize one frightening thing. Behind the smiles, the laughs, the cackles...

They're the weakest of them all.

Again, strong content, razor-sharp voice, and great imagery. Love the way you don't pull any punches. Keep it up!

Amazing. Out of all the poems I've read this one has a strong point feeling and emotion in it. Your talent will go far!

You have some very true feelings in this poem and I'm sure many can relate to you.

Catherine
