As more people started comeing around us, a boy walked up closer to us, his hair the same as mine, black, and his eyes determined, but somehow, friendly.
"That's enough, Claidi! Leave the girls alone!"
Claidi seemed to jump abit at him, which I couldn't understand, because he didn't look much older then me, then she backed up from us. He ran to my side and wrapped his arms around me. It seemed kinda weird, but it felt good at the same time. A guy had never... touched me like that before.
When some more men, looking like they might be army or something, ran us to her, she smiled again and started laughing. Her eyes glowed white again as she started turning in circles. Then faster and faster until you could barely see her anymore, then, she was gone.
The boy held me close, then blinked. He looked down and saw the suprised look on my face, then backed off abit.
"I'm really sorry, Mel... Ma'am. I know her type and who she is. She's nothing but bad news for you and your ... friend. You might want to stay away from her. By the way, I'm Tyler. I'll be seeing you around."
Before I got a chance to say anything back, he ran off. I couldn't help but think he was a super hunk, but... He was awfully weird.
When we got to my house, Lil and I ran to my room, bypassing my mom and step dad before they could ask how our night went. I jumped across my bed and grabbed my cell phone that I had left at home as Lil went through my clothes, looking for something for us to put on.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Mrs. Lindsey. Is Nicolle around?"
"Yeah, let me get her. NICOLLE!!!"
I heard a muffled answer from the background.
"What!?"
"PHONE FOR YOU!!!"
"Alright, I'm comin'!!"
"By the way, Melody, how's your mother doing?"
"Oh, she's fine, Mrs. Lindsey. Her heart murrmer hasn't been too bad lately."
"That's cool. And your step-father; is he treating her right?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Mom, I got the phone," came Nicki's familiar voice over the line, then there was a soft click as her mom hung up her end of the phone.
"Nicki, you wouldn't believe all the stuff that happened tonight! There was this lady named Claidi and this cute boy named Tyler and I think they were witches like you, and she was killing people and..."
"Wait, slow down. This sounds serious. Meet me at Door Street Cafe in half an hour. I have to dig my book of shadows back out."
"O.K. Lilly was there, too."
"Bring her."
