Prayer to Hecate
by Lyle Berry (Age: 61)
copyright 07-14-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Hecate, Goddess of Death and Night,
Goddess of Sorcery,
hear my prayer!
I seek to find my Lost One.
She, like you, thrives during the Dark Moon
and haunts the Crossroads.
She, like you, traverses with the Dead
and the Ghosts.
As you helped Demeter
in her search for Persephone,
succor me in my pursuit of she who sleeps,
but does not rest.
I know that when the sun sets she awakens,
rises from her cerements,
and walks the wood,
seeking living sustenance.
Helpless prey, little children,
innocents, fall victim
to her teeth and talons,
for she belongs to Pluto now
Hecate, daughter of Perses and Asteria,
Queen of Witches,
Goddess of Darkness
and the Terrors of the Night,
Ruler Over Souls in the Underworld;
synergism of Selene, Artemis, Persephone,
hear my prayer!
I shall sacrifice black lambs and dogs to you.
Prowl your Realm
haunt the remotest places
with your pack of howling curs,
and your serpents,
and bring
my beloved home
to Hades.

May I never be loved by the likes of this, may my eternity always be forever bliss, and if one should wish me fallen, please withold stamina's pollen. Don't let him drag me to the depths of hell, or take me to places I don't know well. No thanks, I think I'll stay right here in the midst of all that I fear.
