The grass so green
Blows gently in the wind
The roses so red
Blooming brightly in the sun
In the trees overhead
the birds sing so merrily
The summer's sky
So bright and blue
Gazes upon me
As I lay beneath the tree
Listening to the birds sing
Watching the roses so red
Dreamily all thoughts
Are lost in the summertime
As I lay here
No reflections, thinking about nothing
Summer time is made for lounging
Lounging about relaxing
Summer time could go on for ever
But alas summer time
Once again falls prey
To the autumn's time
