Well a tom cat on a back alley fence
And a pole cat on the ground
Well the tom cat jumped down off the fence
And they went around and around
They started into fighten
Scratchin and a biten
And they sure made an awful sound
I knew that they would fight all night
So I just hung around.
Well they both was a grinnin
Neither one was a winnin
But I could tell for certain
They wasn't gonna quit till one was hurtin
Well after they fought most all the night
They both was a getting weak.
The tom cat said you striped thing
You're beginning to show your streak
The tables were about to turn though
They both was a bloody sight
The pole cat had an ace in the hole
He pulled the trigger and hit the mark just right.
Well the tom cat fell down on the ground
His paws was coverin his eyes
No use guessin he learned his lesson
Because I heard him cry
I'm plumb outta his class
He tried to look around
I can't stand that gas
Who is this stranger in town

Wondered what a pole cat was, now I know! My Benjamin was a friendly Maine Coon cat and I found him visiting on our back step with one of those, sure am glad they didn't fight!!!
Very cute!
