Kyrielle for A Phantom Lover
by Lyle Berry (Age: 61)
copyright 07-17-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

I have her only when I sleep
In dreams alone she’s mine to keep
I breathe her out and breathe her in
And cannot wait ‘til night begins

She comes to me in silk or lace
Arrays her flesh upon my face
In truth, it must not be a sin
I only live when night begins

We’ll burn twinned comets in the sky
She’ll melt me down and leave me dry
I wait on needles - wait on pins!
I can’t endure ‘til night begins

I’ll clutch her tight ‘til I awake
I loathe the morn, my love at stake
Absorb her God! right through my skin
I’m only whole when night begins

Her kisses linger there at dawn
Her perfume on my pillow warm
My shoulder bleeds my senses spin
I won’t exist ‘til night begins

Yesssssssss... I know the feeling! *sigh* I'm off to dream myself. My real love has gone for the evening. *pout* So, since he can't stay... I'll keep him anyway! *grin* In dreams.

imaginery love, so much more satisfying than the real thing, our lover does all the right things, says all the right things....
I wish you real love, it is actually much better, Betty
