Left Alone With Child
by Tammy Schaffer
copyright 03-25-2003

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Can love be revoked over night?
Can memories kill love?
I love.
So..., I make life difficult.
A disability?
So sweet,
So desirable.
Handicap or gift?
Thorn or rose?
Weeds or flowers?
The ever sweet essence,
The laughter,
The joy.
The quiet moments.
Oh, I hope its a boy!
Baby will never know,
Memories is all I'll behold.
Doesn't sound fair,
Its more like a nightmare.
Punch the wall,
And make a hole.
You've hurt your hand,
But I broke your soul.
Come back and stay with me.
So we can be... three.

I know your loss was long ago, but I still pray for you. This is a moving piece and to know the outcome only makes this more tragic. Thanks, Anthony

Tammy,
The work is desirable, and full of reality.
Great poem!
