a wounded soul
by Amanda C. (Age: 17)
copyright 03-29-2003

Age Rating: 10 to 127

To speak of the words that I dare not say.

Is to do myself a favor, and finally obey.

These words they banish their meaning.

To the corridors of all soul.

An end is a new beginning.

Of tales that are untold.

No truth should still be sealed.

Such secrets one can't share.

For someone to meet happiness,

And happiness not care,

Is like a deep flesh wound,

That's way beyond repair.

Such sadness carves this body.

Into the form you see.

This poor lifeless creature,

Just happens to be me.

Very succinct thinking, very nice poem. Where have you been I noticed you have not traveled back to my site, I thought perhaps you would come back since we are done correcting each other. Please do as your work is very interesting.
