Friendship's Power
by Christopher Doss (Age: 21)
copyright 01-17-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

One small glowing ember
placed in a cold, dark room
carries endless power

Softly calling your name,
blurring the edge of fear
with its comforting light

Carried within your heart,
held gently in your hands,
its strength lasts forever

The ember and its warmth,
the light that leads your way,
is born from friendship's love

What a charming and true poem. Specially I touched by "the light that leads your way,
is born from friendship's love...". Simply wonderfully! - Irina.

This is a very fine bit of poetry, Christopher. A poetic metaphor.
