Just Scared
by Neb Tanner (Age: 18)
copyright 01-21-2003

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Why are you never around?
Why do I feel so empty?
You already said the three small words,
But did they really mean anything?
Sometimes I think I should leave,
But the thought seems to disappear.
Are you really meaning to hurt me,or

Chorus:Are you just scared of the future you might face,or the choices you might have to make?
Don't worry baby.
Because no matter what,
I'll be right here beside you,
Through the good and the bad.
Just look at where we are now.
We're still here.
So don't be scared.

At times I get mad,
I feel I could explode.
Because every time I call,
You don't pick up the phone.
And the the times that you do,
you say you'll call back.
I really wish that was the truth.
Boy you're tearin' me in two.
But I take it anyway,
Just to show how much I care

Chorus 2x's

So don't be scared
So don't be scared
So don't be scared

Nice little song. Did you ever notice that the word "baby" just pops out in so many loves songs? Utada Hikaru uses it a lot, thank goodness she had a lot of songs that aren't love songs or else I'd go crazy. With some artists I hear it's a love song in the first few lines and think to myself, "So, when is the singer going to call this love/lover 'baby'?" This is a good poem, and I'm glad I'm commenting on it and posting a proper comment since you've been void of them since Debra Rose and Esther Spurrill... As a Commenting Crusader, unintelligent and uninsiteful comments drive me nuts... It's worse than no feedback really, how can a person improve with no guidelines?! And nobody to tell them using "?!" is improper grammar?! ;) Anyway, great work and keep writing!

This is a very insightful poem for someone that is so young. Many would say thay you write beyond your years. Thanks, Anthony
