Are You Happy Now?
by Dian Bagent (Age: 21)
copyright 04-19-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I lie here at night,
alone in my bed,
nothing is right.
Is it something I said?

Why did you do this to me?
I loved you so much.
I was always so happy
when I felt your touch.

Your kisses were so sweet.
Your smile so warm.
Your eyes were like the sea
after a powerful storm.

Then came the betrayal.
You left without saying a word.
My heart shattered like a crystal.
My will to live faltered.

I locked myself up inside,
an empty feeling filled my heart.
It seemed like forever I cried.
The pain hit me like a dart.

I stopped laughing and smiling.
The world seemed so grey.
There was nothing but this aching,
like the ocean in the bay.

Are you happy now?
You destroyed my soul!
Someday, somehow,
I'll get back the happiness you stole.

Are you happy now?
You left me alone in the cold.
But somehow,
I'll rise above your hold.
